Hello, and welcome to the final recording of Filthy Christians. Filthy Christians hailed from the small town Falun in Sweden. The core of the band has always been Ola, Per and Daniel, drums, vocals and guitar respectively. The guys came together in 1985 to play punkrock, but tape trading soon got them into bands like Siege, DRI, Napalm Death, Lärm etc, and the urge to play as fast as possible arose. 1988 saw the first release from FC, a split 7″ EP with the mates from G-Anx. The EP was self released and did quite well! It also had a repress made by Armageddon Records in the US recently. Check that out if you wish. In 1989 the band recorded their debut album wich was released by Earache Records, springtime 1990 entitled „Mean“. By the time „Mean“ was released the band had already switched to a more death metal oriented sound, and also added some new members; Lasse on guitar and Pelle on bass. In 1992 they made the desciscion to book Sunlight studio in Stockholm. 3 of the 5 songs were soon released as an CD EP on German label We Bite, with the title „Nailed“. So… what you now hold in your hands is that final recording of Filthy Christians in it’s entirety.
