„Brutal d-beat hardcore massacre. 5 tracks recorded by Lüger in September 2023 finally on vinyl thanks to O.U. Records.
From the first punk as fuck Demo 2020 tape on No Name Distro / Records, it was clear that this band is serious and shows no mercy. Rising from the Zagreb underground, they attack distorted to the point of unconsciousness, either you are or you are not. 2 tracks Demo 2021 confirms this and raises the level of aggression even more. Everything culminates with „Hopeless“, their ferocious side of the split LP with international Berlin-based maniacs Stalinstadt, released on Rawmantic Disasters and Burning Anger 2022. This is already a legendary opus, but hell continues once again!
Before one member of the band moved to Berlin himself, this material was recorded, which definitely deserves a vinyl treatment. The track titles already give me a Shitlickers vibe. Lüger previously covered Avskum and Mob 47, all five tracks here are original but käng consistency is guaranteed. Complementing discrust madness of the nineties and Disclose’s raw punk legacy, the madness takes on crasher crust characteristics already on the split LP. The 5 tracks EP has that wall of noise approach, where harsh feedback can escalate in the direction of chaos, while maintaining a tight, d-takt punch. Lüger convinced me of the same power live, no tricks, obligatory pogo while ears bleed as witnesses of a world where madness is the law and noise not music is resistance. Real DIY art by the band further emphasizes all that.
As with the split LP, the mastering was handled by Chris Overall; the result is the kind of sonic pollution that is so intoxicating and adrenaline-fueled that spinning the vinyl again becomes mandatory. If you can never get enough of everything Dis, from the very roots to the present day, this is the ultimate dose: riff upon riff of savage perfection. A bullet that traveled along the fringes of existence for so long, only to strike its target with unerring precision.“
