Debut 7 from this Austin, Texas band with a couple of familiar faces. The sound here is catchy, raw d-beat… not as catchy as, say, Vaaska, but mid-paced and with hooks and riffs for miles. The label description compares them to Scandinavian Jawbreaker-era Anti-Cimex crossed with Celtic Frost, and I’d say that’s a pretty good description, but the recording is really raw, which makes me think more of the Raped Ass era. Regardless, these are some incredibly well-written tracks with spot-on perfect raw punk production and some of the most blazing guitar leads you’ll ever hear. Strongly recommended.
