Description

We got an opportunity to cooperate on making of a musical side of a dance movie inspired by Heiner Müller’s Die Hamletmaschine” (1979). As we were striked by the message of Müller’s play touching issues of totality or abuse of power, and as it seems to us that Müller was a person who understood art as one of the ways to freedom, we decided to take this opportuinity. This song came out of feelings about the recorded scenes and about the play itself. Maybe it’s a step off the way that we chose, but it makes sense. It’s been an experience to participate on a project powered by a will to create and to connect our music with dance, costumes, mood of the movie. We are grateful for that. We do not want to end locked up in a ghetto of our ideas about the world, it’s been important to us to search for new ways and patterns, but in the same time we do not want to forget who we are and what we stand for. / mArnost, 2013
